May 1978 brought an unusual sighting in Kent and Surrey, where two women reported seeing a UFO while enjoying a day out at a golf club. Kathleen Morgan and Pat Currie described seeing a "ball of brilliant white light" that hovered above the golf course, behaving in ways that defied logical explanation.

As they watched, the light seemed to grow brighter and larger, before suddenly dimming and disappearing. Later, a local reporter shared his own encounter with the mysterious object while driving along the A21. He described the light as a "ball of brilliant white light," moving at incredible speeds and vanishing as quickly as it had appeared.
The incident was further corroborated by other witnesses who saw the light from different locations, all describing similar experiences. Despite the numerous reports, no official explanation was provided, leaving the incident as another unsolved mystery in the annals of UFO sightings.
